What we doin' in western MA?
Paddling Deerfield River, that’s what? It’s a 76-mile river that starts in VT and runs to CT. It descends 1,100 feet over 50 miles with enough force that it’s controlled by 7 dams along the way to allow for everything from power generation, to trout fishing and of course, whitewater rafting and kayaking. The section we visited - the Drywall - is the closest class IV rapid near NYC. You’re welcome.
