MiniOcktoberfest Camping, 5th Dimension
If you think camping means driving to a campsite, setting up a tent near a bathroom and faucet, and chillaxin' by a warm breeze and a dope fire, then you haven't been camping.
We hiked our asses 9 miles in with 50 lb packs. We started setting up in the dark. We started a fire because we were cold af and hangry and still needed to cook and eat our food. And we passed out from exhaustion around 10p. The rain started 11p. Oh and howling winds, because that's how Bald Rocks do. Two of us got wet and sick. That's camping. In the morning, we got up in 40-degree cold. Packed up our sh_t. And hiked the f_ck out another 9 miles. My knees are still hurting. And this is the 5th year in a row we've been doing it like this. What you don't know about camping is that it's not about camping. It's about the people you go with, the stories you hear, and the moments you share. And if you can't say that about your last camping trip, sorry fam, but you haven't been camping. Maybe you should come out with us next time.
